Our Story

A community defined by its members.

We're a non-profit Community Interest Company dedicated to providing a welcoming, safe space for all women and girls to learn and enjoy chess. Whether you've never moved a pawn or you're chasing your next rating, you belong here.

Our club is built on socialising and positive interactions across every skill level. We value each person's diverse talents — and we're proud to be recognised by the English Chess Federation as an award-winning club for women in chess.

"Chess is for all. Join us and be part of a dynamic community where you can develop your skills, make new friends, and have a great time."
